August 23, 2007 Nate Overson Passes Black Belt Test




Congratulations to Nate Overson who completed his 1st degree Black Belt Test at Premier Martial Arts August 23, 2007.


Administrating the test was Master Instructor Steve Smith, Tyler Webster 2nd Dan, Gary Wolfe 1st Dan, and Lester Shirley member of PMA's Mixed Martial Arts Team was one of the sparring partners.


Nate Overson Completed his Black Belt test in 2 hours and 45 minutes, he began with his physical challenge, which included over 2,000 punches, 100 push ups, 100 sit ups, wind sprints, pop up kicks, 10 minutes in training stance, untold numbers of wind sprints, 5 3minute rounds with fresh sparing partners each round, and 20 minutes of non-stop grappling fresh opponent every 1 minute. After the physical challenge Mr. Overson completed his forms, knowledge, Kick Boxing sets, Weapons Demonstration, Self Defence, and a lecture on the PR 24 as his weapon of choice presentation.


It is very inspiring to watch someone dig deep and overcome a Black Belt Challenge a new person emerges from the experience, great job Nate you are an inspiration.


Nate will be moving to the Portland, Oregon area to continue his career as a Federal Police Officer. We will miss you Nate, good luck to you in the future.
